1. Introduction
Welcome to my little corner of the internet.
This is a personal, non-commercial website. I don’t sell anything, I don’t run ads, and I don’t use cookies or analytics. I simply publish my pictures, thoughts, stories, and reviews.
Because the website has a contact form, a small email subscription box, and an optional donation link via PayPal, I do collect a small amount of personal data — but only what you choose to give me. I don’t analyse it, I don’t sell it, and I honestly have no interest in your data beyond replying to your message or sending you an update email.
The website is hosted by Hostinger, so please also check Hostinger’s own Privacy Policy if you want details about how they handle technical data such as server logs.
2. Data Collection

If you use the contact form, I collect the information you enter:
Name or pseudonym
Email address
(Optional) phone number
Your message
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
You can revoke this consent anytime by emailing me.
Data already processed before the revocation stays lawful.
Subscription Form:
If you subscribe to my updates, I store your email address in a small file on my computer. That’s it.
No newsletter software, no automated marketing tools.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the Unsubscribe button on the website footer, or you can simply email me and I will delete your email from the list.
Donations via PayPal
If you click on “Donate via PayPal” or “Support me,” you will be redirected to PayPal.
PayPal may collect personal data such as:
your name
your email address
your country
the amount you donate
optional personal message
I only receive the information PayPal forwards to me (usually name, amount, message).
For everything else, please read PayPal’s own Privacy Policy because they process that data on their platform, not mine.

3. Purpose of Data Collection
I only use your data for the following purposes:
To reply to messages you send me
To send you the updates you subscribed to
To process voluntary donations via PayPal
To keep the website running safely (handled by Hostinger)
That’s all.
Your data is never shared or used for anything else.
4. Data Sharing
I do not share your data with anyone.
There are only two exceptions:
PayPal, if you choose to donate

I do not work with any businesses, agencies, printers, marketers, or third-party helpers.

5. Data Retention
Here’s how long I keep different types of data:
Contact form messages: until our conversation ends
Subscription emails: until you unsubscribe (via button or email)
PayPal donation information: I keep the confirmation email for normal administrative reasons (and because PayPal sends it), but I don’t store anything beyond that
Server logs: handled by Hostinger according to their own rules
When you unsubscribe or ask me to delete your data, I delete it manually from my computer.

Your data is stored on my personal computer or in my email account.
I protect my devices with up-to-date antivirus and firewall settings.

8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
This website uses no cookies.
No analytics.
No tracking.
No social media plugins.
Nothing that follows you around the internet.
Just a calm, cookie-free place.
Initially, I attempted to implement a cookie banner (saying this website has no cookies), but it ended up being a cookie itself! Therefore, there are no cookies on this website (and hence no cookie banner), and I do not track any information in this regard. My goal is to provide a cookie-free-diabetic-friendly experience.
9. Changes to the Privacy Policy
I may update the privacy policy and Contact information or "Impressum" at any time, without informing users or clients. Any changes to this Privacy Policy will be posted on this page. Users are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy regularly to stay informed about how I am protecting their data.
