Greeting Cards

Welcome to my display of Greeting Cards! To make things easier, I have included a gallery where you can scroll through the different designs and see if there's anything that appeals to you. Each card has a name on the left (back) side, like "Norway," for example, which groups them with something that defines their content or better represents the idea behind the picture or its context, at least, to me, that is.

I'm not a fan of greeting cards with a lot of text or messages on the cover, like "Happy Birthday" or "Merry Christmas," as that, to me, substantially narrows down their use cases. Instead of being a sort of "surprise little booklet with a nice cover," the cover itself becomes the entire message. We all learn that one should not judge a book by its cover, so you’ll need to open my cards and read what's inside, if you receive one as a gift.

If you scroll past the gallery, you'll see some pictures of the finished/printed products, which give a better idea of how the final product will look.

Introduction

The Card Gallery

Currently unavailable, available again in December. Write a comment and I will reach back to you with prices and delivery dates.

As with my calendars, all my greeting cards are made to order, which means that shipping may take several days. This approach not only helps to avoid waste but also ensures that each item is handcrafted specifically for you.

I might create new products as I go, so if you order a surprise-me/mixed box, there's a possibility you’ll receive a card that’s not yet displayed in my gallery. That's the whole point of the "Surprise."

Currently, all my cards are printed on a sheet of A5 paper, then folded in half, resulting in a final A6-sized card. Each card is shipped with envelopes in different colors, as I feel that one color might suit a photograph better than another.

"Power"

To me, it's a powerful statement. What could have been just a field of farmland is now filled and crisscrossed with power lines, feeding our insatiable Hunger for energy. Who are you going to give "Power" to?

"Speed-Oh"

Who says slow can't be fun? This little snail's expression reminds us that it's all about enjoying the journey, no matter the pace!

"Norway"

This one is more than just a photo taken in Norway, it’s truly an abstract "candid", If there were such a thing as a candid shot of a lemon lying on the street. In this case, that’s exactly what I found. The lemon was really there, lying close to a white parking stripe. The red screw was also just a few steps away and I thought it would be the perfect complement to the image, as both objects are out of place and stand out in color. One wouldn't expect to see a red screw the street, let alone a lemon.

"Norway"

Another "Norway" picture, this one was taken in Bergen, right in the city, not in the beautiful, idyllic countryside where one might imagine it was captured. But then again, Norway is just so fantastically beautiful that every corner held a surprise as stunning as this water mill.
